An engineer will perform a thorough check on the property of all the gas appliances to ensure that they are all in fully working order. If you do not possess this certificate, then you cannot legally rent out your property to tenants. What is Listed on a Gas Safe Certificate?

Depending on your Gas Safe engineer, your Gas Safe Certificate can list different things on the document. However, the certificate must list the following:

The name, Gas Safe registration number and the signature of the engineer who carried who the gas safety checks.
The date of when the gas inspection safety check took place.
The address of the property where the Gas Safe inspection took place.
A description and location of all the gas appliances and flues that were checked.
The name of the landlord who owns the property.
Whether there are any deviations in the gas appliances that don’t conform to the current standards. If any deviations are present, the appropriate fixes and measures need to be identified and written down.
Confirmation of the results of the operational safety checks carried out on the appliances.
